Project ’49 – Shell Blasted

It was always a bold decision to media blast it but I insisted. If it’s not good metal, it’s got to go.
If I’m completely honest I was half expecting a video of Irv sweeping the entire car off the floor.

At first glance I personally think the shell looks better but has uncovered a few horrors.
Me; “I can see good and bad in that…. What do you think?”

Irv; “Exactly , loads of it is solid , all the areas that meet up with the pan are tissue thin and need work , the panel behind the tank is completely rotted out which I hadn’t noticed before hand. Will do a list of panels tomorrow Then we can get cracking, Once I get the channels in and rebuild around them will be flying”
