13 years of Hayburner Halloween
It’s Halloween in a few days and for many years now we’ve always done a little something for halloween. We love it here in the office, it’s a chance for us to play with some ideas and get creative and let our artistic sides run a bit wild. Whether it’s been t-shirts, stickers, pin badges, competitions (we even did our own interactive game show once!) or just some cool artwork; we’ve been doing something at Halloween for 13 years now. This year has been no exception so check that out if you haven’t seen it already.
Seeing as we like the Halloween stuff, and judging by the feedback so do you, we thought we’d compile a little back catalogue for you and share some of our halloween favourites from the last 13 years. Check it out, let us know which ones are your favourites and which ones you collected over the years.
2012
Way back in 2012 Hayburner was only just starting out and to mark Halloween we ran a competition for the best dressed Hayburner reader with a Hayburner Mag in the picture with them. The winner of that competition was Rachel Killington, you can see her entry photo below. Sadly, Rachel is no longer with us.

2013
Although there had been some dabbling with Halloween themes before, 2013 was the launch of the first official Hayburner Halloween merchandise and it all started with this sticker:

The artwork has gotten lost over the years but here is the picture of the sticker in our collection! You could only buy this from a social media post, it didn’t even make it onto the website! But these one’s did;

2013 also saw a friend and makeup artist that worked on the Walking Dead tv show pop down for a photoshoot:

2014
In 2014 we did our first ever Halloween themed T-shirt! And it was glow in the dark too! We only made 10 so it has to be one of our rarest T-shirts.

2015
Halloween 2015 saw another Halloween themed photoshoot, this time with vampires.

Also 2015 saw another T-shirt design, these were made by Ned covering his hand in Red screen printing ink and personally printing every one of them!

2016
This year was another T-shirt, this year it was inspired by The Shining movie and was also accompanied by what has become a Halloween staple at HQ, this was the first year that we did the photoshopped movie-esque sticker packs. We also did a promotional Zombie bride and groom shoot too.

2017
With Halloween Merch being well received by you guys and at this point we were actually being asked about Halloween launches. So for 2017 we stuck with the same formula as 2016 of a T-shirt and a sticker pack, but also introduced the option of a sweatshirt too. Also a fun fact for you; Freddy was so popular that it is now the longest running halloween sticker that is still available to this day!

2018
We decided to try something new again in 2018. At this point you guys were really into the Halloween themes and we’d had really great feedback on all the designs that we had been doing for stickers in previous years. We would normal make all the designs and then choose which one we liked best, or that worked well, as a T-shirt. So 2018 was the year we just thought lets just make 3 t-shirts, all of which were available as a sticker pack too

2019
For 2019 we again opted to do multiple designs as shirts, this time going with three. The Joker and Trouble being available as t-shirts and the limited run of Facehugger t-shirts, as well as a sticker pack too

Also here is something pretty cool; below is a concept image from our designs from 2019 that never actually made it into production.

2020
Ahh 2020 – we all remember 2020. The world came to a bit of a stand still and it was a bit of crappy time for car shows and car enthusiasts in general. So for 2020 we went with ‘2020 Sucks’ for our Halloween theme. This year we scaled back to one design for T-shirts and of course the sticker pack too.

2021
In 2021 we went in a bit of a different direction than we normally would. This was the year that the very famous Korean hit ‘The Squid Games’ smashed onto the scene and we decided to do our own version of it for our Halloween special, We called it the Quid Games and …. this included one-off tees for all participants that entered and also for sale sticker packs.

2022
For 2022 we bought back a T-shirt and sticker pack combo. So it was 2022 that saw us launch our YouTube Channel HBTV and our first video ever on there was actually the Halloween video!

2023
For 2023 we did our usual T-shirt but this time we did something special with it and made it glow in the dark! Something that we hadn’t done in nearly 10 years! We also did our sticker pack and for the first time ever we did a limited edition Pin Badge!

Also in 2023 we had the first ever Hayburner Halloween party!

2024
In 2024 we did something a little different than we have in previous years and decided to redesign previous Hayburner Magazine covers with a Halloween twist as well as do a new original Halloween design for a T-shirt. This design was available in two colours with slightly different designs for each colour shirt.

2025
And of course that leads us to this year, we have gone with a werewolf theme this year. We have a T-shirt, a sweatshirt and a four sticker pack, you can check that out here!
We want to thank you all for the love and support you have given the Halloween drops over the years, we love doing them, and for as long as you love us doing them, we’ll do more!
